All participants need tennis shoes, glove, and may bring a bat.
Cost: $30/Session or $50 for both Sessions

| | The Avon Softball Program is sponsoring a pitching clinic on September 20, 2008. The clinic will feature Cleveland State pitching coach Josie Henry from 9am-11am for intermediate and advanced pitchers and a beginners session from 11:30am-1:30pm. Cost for each session will be $30. Sessions will be limited to 20 girls to allow for individual instruction. The clinic will be held at Avon High School softball field. AVON LITTLE LEAGUE NIGHT AT PROGRESSIVE PARK
Please show your support for Avon Little League, Friday June 13th at 7:05. The Cleveland Indians will be playing the San Diego Padres at Progressive Park. Following the game there will be a fire works display. All tickets are $20 each. Seat location is upper box, section 548-555. If you are interested, please call Mary or Mike Biskupich @ 937-5063. Only 500 tickets will be available. Last year was a sell out. There is also a pre-game parade, if interested in participating, you must have a ticket and arrive at the ballpark no later than 6:00pm at Gate A. | | Avon Little League is hosting a Night at the Races on Friday, April 11 at Irish Heritage Center in Avon Lake. Doors open 6:00pm, appetizers at 6:30pm, race time 7:30pm and following races there will be DJ & dancing until midnight. Ticket cost is $20/person, which includes appetizers, soda, wash and beer. The Avon High School Softball coaches in conjunction with Avon Little League are offering free softball clinics for girls in grades 5 through 8. The clinics will be held every Tuesday in February (5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th) from 6:15 PM to 7:30 PM at Avon Heritage North Gymnasium. The clinics will cover throwing, fielding, base-running, sliding, hitting and bunting. Those interested should call Dale Rogers at 934-4614 to register. | 2/27/2008 |

| | The Avon Little League Minor Softball Division will be having free softball skills clinics at the Avon Heritage North Gym, on Tuesdays evenings, 5PM-6:15PM , starting January 8th and ending February 19th. These clinics are for Avon residents, league age 9 & 10 (your childs 9th or 10th birthday must fall prior to Dec 31,2007 to participate). | | The Avon Little League General Membership meeting will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Lion's Community Center at 7:30PM. The Lion's Community Center is located on Eaton Drive, south side of the street, across from the playground.
The General Membership consists of all 2007 Team Managers and Board Members. All are invited to attend this meeting.
At this meeting, the current board is looking forward to your input regarding this past season.
If you cannot attend this meeting, please complete the attached ballot by voting for Board Members at each position. This ballot must be returned to the address below or email it to me at mary_biskupich@ici.com or marybisk@adelphia.net.
We require a nominal number of votes to continue as a Board in Avon, so please take the time to vote. The information received will only be counted and kept confidential. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

To participate in Avon Little League you must be an Avon resident and age 5 before April 30 of the current year. Avon Little League has divisions which accommodate players from age 5 - 14. Registration fees range from $60 - $90 based on the division. On line registration will begin in January for the 2008 season. The police department is requesting that LL cancel and reschedule any games being held at LL Park tonight. They are expecting an enormous turn out for the Jason West funeral at Micenciks tomorrow and are in need of parking. The showing runs from 2-9PM. Games at the Vet are still being played.
Let's all be respectful and honor their wishes.

| | On Monday, May 28 there is a parade marching from the Little League Park to the Avon Cemetery on the corner of Detroit & Route 83, to honor America's Fallen Heroes. The parade will begin at 9:00am. There will be Memorial Day Ceremonies following everyone's arrival. This is not a Little League function, we were just invited to participate, sorry for the short notice. If you plan to march, please gather at Little League Park at 8:00am. Following the ceremonies, Misencik Funeral Home, on Detroit Road, is having a hotdog give away.
